Event AC Rentals — Desert Coolers and Freon Air Conditioners
AC Rentals ZipZap offers two different types depending on the nature of your event venue:
Desert Coolers — commonly searched for as Portable air conditioner Because it can be moved easily from place to place and doesn’t require permanent installation or an outdoor unit. Best suited for open spaces like gardens, rooftops, and outdoor events.
Freon air conditioning — which is Split air conditioner 6 HP, suitable for enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces like tents and halls.
Choosing the wrong type can make the cooling unnoticeable no matter how many units you add. That’s why we ask about the venue, area, and number of attendees before recommending.
If you’re still unsure between an evaporative cooler and fans for your venue, read Article «Fans or Evaporative Coolers for Outdoor Events?» — It includes a comparison table and a method to calculate the number of units based on your area.

Evaporative cooler (portable) or Freon split A/C?
The difference isn’t power — it’s the type of space. Choose based on your event:
Evaporative cooler (air cooler)
It works by evaporation, so it needs fresh air. Best for gardens, rooftops, open-air events, and tents that are open on the sides. Cools and humidifies the air on hot, dry days.
Freon air conditioning
It runs on a compressor like a home air conditioner. Best for closed tents, halls, and semi-enclosed spaces with a roof and sides. Delivers stronger cooling in confined areas.
Not sure which type suits your space? Send us a photo or a description and we’ll recommend one. If the area is open and spacious, we might also… Fan rentals Can be a complementary solution or a more cost-effective alternative.
