A tent gives you shade and cover, but it also traps heat in summer and does little against cold on a winter night. If you want guests to stay comfortable from the first hour to the last, you need to plan climate along with the tent. This guide explains how air-conditioned and heated tents work in Egypt and what to rent with them.

What “air-conditioned” and “heated” mean for a tent
A tent is not an insulated room. When people say air-conditioned or heated tents, they mean a standard tent combined with cooling or heating equipment sized to the space. The result depends on the tent size, whether the sides are open or closed, the number of guests and the weather.
Start with the basics on our tent rental page, then add the equipment that matches your season.
Cooling a tent in summer
Fans and misting fans for tents with open sides. See fan rental.
Evaporative coolers for semi-open tents where air still moves in and out.
The type of cooling follows how closed the tent is. An evaporative cooler in a sealed tent raises humidity without cooling enough, and a refrigerant unit in an open tent loses the cold air to the outside.
Shade structures help before you add cooling.
Heating a tent in winter
Winter nights in Cairo and Giza get cold, especially in gardens and rooftops. Standing heaters placed among the seating warm guests without taking floor space. See our heater rental page for the available units. Keep heaters away from tent walls and decor, and give them clear space around them. We position and secure each unit for you.
Standing heaters keep an evening event comfortable in winter.
Plan the layout together
Decide in this order:
The guest count and seating plan.
The tent size, based on seating including walking space.
Whether the sides will be open or closed.
The cooling or heating equipment and where the power comes from.
Power matters more here than people expect. Tell us where the power points are, and we plan equipment around them or advise if extra supply is needed.
Seating and airflow planned together inside the tent.
Mistakes to avoid
Booking the tent first, then discovering the size does not fit the seating and the equipment.
Choosing the wrong cooling type for the tent’s openness.
Placing heaters against fabric walls.
Leaving power for the last day.

Choosing the right tent size
Tent size comes from seating, not from the guest count alone. Seated dinner needs far more space per person than a standing reception. Add space for walking, the buffet, the stage and any climate equipment. If you plan to cool or heat the tent, size matters even more, since a larger space needs more units.
Open or closed sides
Open sides keep airflow and suit fans and evaporative coolers in summer. Closed sides keep heat in during winter nights and suit heaters and air conditioners. Many events use a mix, closing one or two sides depending on the wind and the time of day.
Seasonal checklist
Summer
Shade first, cooling second.
Fans or misting for open tents, coolers or air conditioners for closed tents.
Plan water and power for the equipment.
Winter
Close the sides that face the wind.
Place standing heaters among the seating, away from walls and decor.
Check the evening temperature and plan for the coldest hour, not the afternoon.

Common questions
Can a normal tent be air-conditioned?
Yes, if it is closed on the sides and the units are sized to the space. For open tents, fans and evaporative coolers are the better choice.
Is it safe to use heaters inside a tent?
Only with the right placement and clearance from fabric and decor. Our team positions the units and checks the layout on site.
Which is better in summer, fans or air conditioners?
It depends on whether the tent is open or closed. Open tents suit fans and evaporative coolers. Closed tents suit air conditioners.
Do you provide the tent and the equipment together?
Yes. You can rent them together and share one delivery and setup.
